Akbank's Hackathon "Code: Monetary Issues" focusing on the needs of individual customers in digital payments, spending, revenue management and savings, has been completed.
Following the global developments closely, and quickly assessing and converting any opportunity into Turkey's best banking solutions, Akbank is applying the future's banking concept today thanks to its investments. "Code: Monetary Issues" was organized in cooperation with Akbank LAB Innovation Center, and Akbank Retail Banking between September 29 - October 1. 30 teams selected from more than 140 groups and individuals competed hard for 48 hours.
During “Code: Monetary Issues”, contestants worked on new digital solutions to meet all retail banking needs from expenditures to savings, from shopping to savings, from income management to future planning. The jury consisting of Arif İsfendiyaroğlu, Executive Vice President of Retail Banking, Tolga Ulutaş, Executive Vice President of Direct Banking, Yasemin Bedir, General Manager, Mastercard Turkey and Azerbaijan, İlker Kuruöz, General Manager of Doğuş Teknoloji, Serdar Kuzuloğlu, Information and Technology author and journalist, Soner Canko, General Manager BKM, Hakan Erdoğan, Technology Director of İyzico, İhsan Elgin, founding partner of Fintech Istanbul and Startupswatch, Bülenç Hiçsönmez, Google Country Director, and Oğuzhan Aygören, Assistant Professor and Lecturer at Boğaziçi University awarded the first prize worth 30.000 TL to team "Bam Bam Bam" with members Türerkan İnce, Tuğkan Kibar and Ayberk Adsız. The team "HMTC" formed by Melih Efeoğlu, Hasbi Sevinç and Tahsincan Baldırcı “HMTC” and the team “BSBTECH” formed by Özer Batu Kargılı, Semih Aslan Sağlamol and Beliz Yavaş, each won an achievement prize worth 15.000 TL.
