According to the statement made by the bank, Akbank offers its customers the opportunity to "Login with Selfie" to Akbank Mobile by face identification technology with the technological developments in its banking products and services. Direct Banking Executive Vice President Tolga Ulutaş stated that taking selfies is an indispensable part of our lives and added:

While selfie has integrated our lives so much, we asked why not sign in to Akbank Mobile with selfie and now it is the first application in Turkey. Now our customers can login to Akbank Mobile with their selfies instead of passwords. Our investment on digital technology creates a strong communication with our customers.
